Discover who you really are

Seems like the whole world of language is wrong and it feels bad. Well it’s very disturbing for me. How do you discover who you really are? When are you girls going to wake up and stop calling yourself a woman? This word is enslaving you and preventing any genuine form of equality. Wo-man should be relinquished from our vocabulary forever so that healing can begin. There’s no need to include man in our word. Just say wom and the problem is solved. Try using wom in a sentence and you’ll see how easy it is. Change can only happen if you unlock your mind.

Okay! I’ve had my say and I know I’m right. I think you’re magnificent so please wake up. Girls it’s time to discover who you actually are. Life is yours for the taking 😉

Wish to express my gratitude

girl-party-dress-flowers-hat

I’m sitting quietly at home on a pleasant morning and thoughts are of lovely friends. I commenced this blog twenty-one months ago and wish to express my gratitude. I’ve received so much joy from being part of the WordPress community. Oh! It hasn’t been without occasional frustration but still an adventure worth embarking upon.

Gender equality is a subject I’m passionate about and I will continue to research and write for years to come. Don’t think I’ll ever run out of ideas for new articles. Vef can seem like an absurd word however it has expanded my knowledge of language.

This week I’ve completed moving from one WordPress account to another. I know everything on page looks the same but underneath it’s all different. The only noticeable change is missing likes on posts as they don’t migrate when a blog is moved. During this process I had lots of help from happiness engineers. It’s complicated and I’d much rather write poetry than learn computer code. I’ll get busy on a poem tomorrow.

I’d like to thank followers who continue to encourage me to keep going with my book. I smile within at every comment on Vef’s posts. I’ve met some beautiful people during my online time here @ WP.com

So overall it’s an amazing creative writing experience.

Thanks for reading .. Haha!

Would I lie to you? Oh no!

pink-creamy-white-flower-green-leaves

Would I lie to you? Okay so let me explain! Vef might not be suitable to include in English language or any other language. However philosophy of this word opens my eyes to many incredible things. I often practice typing/reading vef in a sentence and I’m the first to admit that it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Well not always. Sometimes it’s easy to distinguish and makes good sense. If I juggle around the words I’m using and place them in correct order it works. Oh no, I most definitely wouldn’t lie to you baby. Ha!Ha!

Song lyrics to melt a girl’s heart

girl-asleep-flowers-cake

I’m giving a lot of thought to the issue of social justice and how it relates to gender equality. Girls are a long way behind boys in some countries. In fact many girls never go to school or earn a descent living. Can a gorgeous word ~ Vef ~ put them in front or not?

Perhaps I’m overly infatuated with the letter f .. Haha! I write and post articles on this blog to educate myself about how language can help solve the problem. I’m always reading books and finding unusual words.

So it’s wee small hours of the night and I’ve been hard at work trying to get everything organized before going to sleep. Listening to music is one of my greatest pleasures and I often dig out old classics. Wow! These song lyrics by The Cranberries are sure to melt a girl’s heart and they go like this.

Linger

If you, if you could return, don’t let it burn, don’t let it fade.

I’m sure I’m not being rude, but it’s just your attitude,
It’s tearing me apart, It’s ruining everything.

I swore, I swore I would be true, and honey, so did you.
So why were you holding her hand? Is that the way we stand?
Were you lying all the time? Was it just a game to you?

But I’m in so deep. You know I’m such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

Oh, I thought the world of you.
I thought nothing could go wrong,
But I was wrong. I was wrong.
If you, if you could get by, trying not to lie,
Things wouldn’t be so confused and I wouldn’t feel so used,
But you always really knew, I just wanna be with you.

But I’m in so deep. You know I’m such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

You know I’m such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

Song is from the Album – Everybody else is doing it so why can’t we (1992).

Good Book Writers Don’t Give Up

gorgeous-color-magazine-vef-woman

Bonjour
Good book writers don’t you give up. That’s my motto. But I’ve certainly got no great expectations about having a book published anytime soon. I do tend to spend a lot of my precious waking life conducting online research into the subjects of book writing and self publishing. I feel like giving up on the dream that my work will ever be seen in print. I’m probably not what’s commonly known as a talented writer, in fact I struggle to type legible sentences. My writing is not what you’d call ‘up to scratch’ and usually has a lot of word clangers. Yep! Used a cliché in a post last week only to learn that it wasn’t a fantastic idea so took it out. Honestly I prefer to play with words and often decide to place a word in a verse when it suits my whim.

Oh! I truly enjoy writing on impulse, this is a lazy way of expression, and not being too concerned about grammatical correctness. Undertook French language studies at high school and the only word I can remember with any clarity is bonjour, it translates to good morning or hello in English. Why am I persevering with this book notion if I can’t write properly? Guess I’ll stick to blogging, no one cares too much if I get it all wrong. Ha!Ha!

Stumbled upon this article by Australian writer Ian Irvine while browsing and I think it’s certainly worth a good read. Oops! Don’t cry before you reach the end like I did. Snipped a bit from the page to add to this post and a link.

The image used on my page is amazing but I don’t know who the owner is to give credit. Images on this blog are sometimes found on the Internet and permission to post is sort so as not to infringe copyright. The artist who created image used on top of this page has now contacted me and I am delighted to give credit and a link which applies to this lovely picture.

I’ve toyed with the idea of a co-author scenario, just not sure how this would work in practice? If you are interested this project my email address is on Vef contact page. Recently looked up the word clanger and it means a bad or embarrassing mistake. Okay so I can’t see clearly enough to proof read this text any further. BooHoo! It’s been another sleepless night and I’m needing a frightfully long snooze.

My dream blog

Creatrix-dream-painting

In recent weeks I’ve got some distasteful comments about Vef (Venus flower) which I don’t approve. I have to tell you that I don’t allow negative vibes to bother her or me.
Oops! Did I just say her and me?
Yes I certainly did.

Okay I do talk about Vef as if she is a real person? Well that’s because she is and I am her mother. So if anyone would like to disagree they will bear witness to my extraordinary wrath and scorn.

I’ve existed for millions of years in hash environments where criticism is always dismissed as irrelevant. I am Vef’s primary caregiver and will go to any lengths to protect her from ridicule or harm.

I commenced this blog for a particular reason ~ a dream. Fantasy fiction is my thing ~ it’s as simple as that really. So enjoy these song lyrics and we’ll catch up again.

A dream is a wish your heart makes

When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep.

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true.

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you’re feeling small, yeah
Alone in the night you whisper
Thinking no one can hear you at all
You wake with the morning sunlight
To find fortune that is smiling on you
Don’t let your heart be filled with sorrow
For all you know, tomorrow
The dream that you wish will come true, oooh, yeah.

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep.

You wake with the morning sunlight
To find fortune that is smiling on you
Don’t let your heart be filled with sorrow
For all you know, tomorrow
The dream that you wish will come true
No matter your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
Ooh, yeah, come true.

Serenity is my haven

flowers-in-my-heaven-by-rezzan

Serenity is my haven and this word deserves a lot of praise for what it represents. In our modern world serenity is often neglected and I say we need to get back to embracing this calm quality.

Serenity
se.ren.i.ty (suh-ren-i-tee) –noun, pl – ties

1. the state or quality of being serene, calm or tranquil; sereneness.

Synonyms
1. calmness, composure, peace, quiet.

Antonyms
1. agitation, anxiety, disturbance, unrest.

Haven (noun)
Haven is place of refuge or rest; a sanctuary. A safe or comfortable place to relax away from stress. A place where you feel secure and protected. Somewhere to take refuge from danger. Take shelter from the storm. To seek asylum in another country. An oasis.

So enjoy the holidays wherever you’re planning to go. I’ll be writing and posting online right up until December 25th.

Bye for now, Vef
